Many people charged with drunk driving have never been in trouble with the law before. They don't know what to expect or how to find a lawyer to help them. They may not understand the need to take immediate action to save their drivers' license.

Losing your drivers' license makes everyday life much more difficult. We fight to protect our clients' driver's license and liberty and we are here to help.

DWI charges are serious and can effect the quality of life you have come to enjoy. The aggressive approach we take to your defense is designed to protect your liberties and rights.

Our commitment to each and every client is clear. We stay focused on being responsive; we care about your future; and we never forget the human being and family behind the case.

Texas alcohol offenses require attorneys to be skillful in both the area of criminal law and Administrative License Revocation civil hearings. After every DWI arrest, the State of Texas, acting through the Department of Public Safety, will attempt to have the accused citizen's driver's license suspended for a significant period of time based on a standard of evidence that is much less than that required in the ensuing criminal prosecution.

In the event that the Administrative Law Judge sides with the Texas Department of Public Safety and authorizes a driver's license suspension, the Myers Law Firm will make every effort to obtain an Occupational Driver's License for our clients. An Occupational Driver's License is an Order from a Court of competent jurisdiction that authorizes the citizen to drive their car for work, school, household necessities, church functions and other matters that are reasonable.

Criminal defense firms that charge small retainers and run a volume practice often do not provide the service of obtaining an Occupational Driver's License. The Myers Law Firm is in the practice of protecting their clients' rights under the law and, if necessary, will seek to obtain an Occupational Driver's License for any clients whose driving privileges have been restricted by an Administrative Law Judge.
